INDIAN NAVAL SHIP SHARDUL RESCUED FOUR FISHERMEN WHOSE BOAT "EKADANTA" HAD CAPSIZED ABOUT 20 KM FROM THE PORT OF KARWAR, KARNATAKA. THE BOAT REPORTEDLY SANK AT MORNIING 8 HRS ON 13 SEPTEMBER 2008 DUE TO HEAVY WEATHER AND SEAWAVES. ALL FOUR FISHERMEN WERE SIGHTED FLOATING ON A SINGLE ICE BOX BY INS SHARDUL WHO WAS ON ROUTINE PATROL. THE SHIP IMMEDIATELY UNDERTOOK RESCUE OPERATIONS AND GAVE THEM FIRST AID ONBOARD.
